Nathan takes pleasure in serving the fourth generation of some of the families who were his clients when he founded Greenberg, Rosenblatt, Kull & Bitsoli nearly half a century ago.

His accounting experience began in World War II, when he enlisted in the U.S. Army’s Finance Department. After the war, he served as a Revenue Agent for the U.S. Treasury Department for about five years. While later serving as the Chief Financial Officer for Great American Plastics in Leominster, Massachusetts, Nathan found that he missed tax and accounting work, so when an opportunity to run a two-person firm in Worcester came up, he grabbed it.

Although he now spends six months of the year in Palm Beach, Florida, retiring is far from Nathan’s mind. Each year he attends classes at the University of Miami to keep up with the latest trends in estate planning and he provides advisory services to many Floridian clients when he is there.

Today much of his time is focused on teaching the art of philanthropy. “I try to show my clients who have the means that there is great pleasure in giving,” he said. His clients have donated millions of dollars to charity and “there’s not a week that goes by when I don’t hear from a client who calls to say, ‘Thank you for showing me the way.’ ”
